A real estate finance executive with nearly two decades of experience, John Hofmann serves as senior vice president of KeyBank Real Estate Capital in Wilmette, Illinois. John Hofmann earned a bachelor's in finance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, graduating with honors. He later earned a master of business administration from Northwestern University with a focus on finance and management.

Mr. Hofmann began his professional career in Chicago at LaSalle Bank. Following this experience, he was recruited to open the Midwestern office of Nomura Credit and Capital. He later opened The Carlton Group’s Chicago office and served as its managing director before accepting the position of managing director at The Private Bank. There, he worked on a team focused on loan workouts along with dispositions in REO and loan sales.

John P. Hofmann has written articles for Globe Street, Bisnow, and other industry publications, sharing his expertise on the current investment market. In addition, he is active in his community, volunteering for charities such as the Boys and Girls Club of Chicago, Cradles to Crayons, and the Syrian Community Network.
